Dun-Rite Tool & Machine Company was founded in 1964 by Ronald Cress in a small Dekalb, IL garage. Over the years Dun-Rite has grown into a 55,000 square foot state of the art precision machining, fabricating, manufacturing, and turning facility. Specializing in large turning, Dun-Rite can turn steel up to 32″ in diameter, 127″ length, and can hold 44,000 pounds between centers in our lathe.

Located 65 miles west of Chicago, Dun-Rite can provide job shop work for manufacturers in Chicago, Northern Illinois and throughout the Midwest. Materials worked include: aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, tool steel, castings, stainless,and various steel products. Dun-Rite also provides repair machining services.
